After a beautiful sunset, this image was taken in near darkness but the long exposure really brought out the last remnants of the colourful sky and captured the distant lightning strikes over the sand hills.

This is one of my favourite images of the year. I love the way the three small rock pools each reflect a different element of the photo like the warm yellow of the sand hills, the subtle pink clouds and the cool blue sky. But what makes the image really special to me, is that the natural lines of cloud, rock and water emanating from each of the corners all lead the eye to the lightning strikes on the horizon.

This is a limited edition panoramic print with a print run of 100.
