South Perth Storm

Captured in a single exposure, this photograph vividly reveals the moment a family of black swans struggle against a strong, gusty wind on the South Perth foreshore as a huge lightning strike and storm clouds fill the sky, dwarfing the distant city skyline.

This photograph is one of my personal favourites, partly due to the rarity of photographing such a moment, but also because of the way the family of swans exemplify such resilience amidst the foreboding conditions.
